A frog inspired me to take a leap of faith... Life is a journey!

"I run a small tour company in Siem Reap where I take tourists to ‘mysterious’ attractions.  I guess my life is a bit of a mystery too. When I was 10, bad things were happening and the fortune teller told my mum that it was because of me. 

I was bringing bad luck to the family.  So my mum sent me away to another family. The father there was a drunk and often abused me.  One day after 6 months staying there, he hit me so hard with a stick and I could not take it anymore.  I left that home and headed to the fields.  I saw some frogs and they inspired me to jump out from the little village to see the big world out there.  Then, I became a temple boy for 6 years because there was free food and education.  At the second temple, I was sleeping between two coffins inside of a pagoda for more than a year because there wasn’t enough room for all of us.  I became a monk for 2 years and finally returned to normal living at the age of 24. I studied hard and got myself  a scholarship where I completed hospitality management at a university.  Now, I am a single parent raising a lovely boy on my own.  My dream was to travel around the world to experience different ways of living.  Nowadays, the world comes to me as I meet people from around the world everyday.”
