Unconditional love

"I am 6 years old and just completed grade 1 from school.  I love going to school as I like studying.  We now live with our aunt and she is very nice. My brother and I love our mother very much as she is a single mother working very hard to

support our family.  Our father ran away due to owing lots of money and left us. Since then, my mother has been working at a construction site to earn money to support us.   I like watching TV, read Khmer books and eat fried fish.  I help out with house chores such as cleaning the house and sweeping the floor.   When I grow up, I want to be working at a hotel.  Because there is air-conditioning and it is not hot."

Through PeopleStories, she has recently got a sponsorship that will support her completion of high school. Without this help, it is unsure if the family can support her education. Children are often required to start working very early on in their life in order to financially support the family whilst saving school fees.
