A New Level Of Scholarship - Road to STEM Education
PeopleStories provides greater access to education to the children in need. Newly established in late 2020, the Road to STEM (R2S) Scholarship Program is the top level of the School for Life program. It enables selected high potential students to obtain STEM education.
With the support of the student’s family, focus on academic achievement and high personal resilience. PeopleStories supports the development of role models and future leaders who inspire others and give back to their community. |

COVID19 and Learning in Rural Cambodia
Schools and students have been affected particularly hard in rural Cambodia. Teacher Sarit shares with us some of the insights what school closures mean in reality and how teachers try their best to recover from COVID19 disruption in an environment without access to internet.
We at PeopleStories strongly believes in making a real difference for the students and communities we serve. One of the ways how we achieve that is by working very closely with teachers in Cambodia and today we speak with teacher Sarit about the impact of COVID19 on schools and learning in rural Cambodia. Teacher Sarit works at Ta Ey High School and teaches English for grades 8 and 10. He is a strong believer in education and has been an invaluable supporter of PeopleStories. |
Bringing 100 Dreams To Life
School for Life Ceremonies - December 2019
|
One of the most tangible examples of our action is the annual gifting of School for Life scholarships. Just a couple of weeks ago, we held multiple school ceremonies to inspire and celebrate the new school year. More importantly, we were enabling the hope for the now 100 students to pursue their dreams. It is absolutely amazing to see how this has changed over years. Obviously, the number of students and schools we work with keeps growing but it’s the ownership of students and the teachers role modelling their positive energy that impress us the most! We love it when students have and show their ownership for what they do! |
Onward and Upward!
Our first group of scholarship students are progressing from secondary school to high school. Such a fantastic milestone to be celebrated! We took an opportunity to catch up with two of our Scholars who have just graduated from Grade 9 from Chea Smonn Secondary school.
It takes a lot of heart to build a future
There are four major elements of School for Life and we at PeopleStories Foundation believe they are crucial in building a culture of lifelong learning for the children of Siem Reap. See our latest effort to set positive changes in motion.
See the signing and dancing talents from our wonderful students. Cheers to the Rai Family who absolutely ignited the energy and engagement from the students in June 2019.

Music connects people and crosses boundaries. Change Makers from MacEwan University completed a school refresh project and music teaching in May 2019.
|
Our Chief Change Maker, Victoria Keeys, had conducted a couple of Parent-Teacher workshops in Siem Reap in May 2019.
|
In our last trip to Siem Reap in April 2019, our team of Change Makers ensured to further develop these four important elements to help students complete school.
